Professional Experience: Since he was a young boy, Christian was a builder and a creative designer. He’d often be seen building with “construx”, tree forts at the original “Olmstead Homestead”, and even color-coordinating his simple wardrobe. As Christian grew, he worked as a teenager for uncles and cousins on farms and local remodeling companies. This experience helped him work his way through college doing roofing and siding on his own in downtown Rochester, NY. Christian’s college degree in elementary education brought him to Garner, NC in the year 2000. During his two years of teaching 3rd grade, Christian still spent his free time and summers doing side jobs in carpentry, from building decks and sheds, to replacing entire roofs, windows, or siding all by himself. In 2002, an opportunity to work for a builder-friend got Christian acclimated to the NC building code,and one year later he started his first construction company, a partnership, specializing in exterior renovations.
